Ann S. Andrews' Obituary
Ann S. Andrews, 83, Oxford, FL went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2014 in Ocala, FL. Mrs. Andrews was born on September 11, 1930 in St. Catherine, Florida to her parents Samuel Franklin Slaughter and Clara Irene (Beck) Slaughter. She was a lifetime resident of Oxford, Florida and was retired from the Sumter County Schools with over 42 years of service to the students of Sumter County. She was the Principal of the North Sumter Primary School for over 16 years. Mrs. Andrews was a member of the Wildwood Church of Christ and her sorority Delta Kappa Gamma. She is survived by her loving husband: William D. Andrews of Oxford, FL; a daughter: Debra Ann Etzel (Chris) of League City, TX; two sisters: Virginia Elliott (Raymond) of Prattville, AL and Rosemary Wright (Joseph) of Decatur, AL and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant sister Sandra June Slaughter and a brother S.F. Slaughter, Jr. A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL. with Funeral Services to be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00AM at the Wildwood Church of Christ with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lakeland, FL. The family has requested donations to be made to Christian Home and Bible School located at 301 West 13th Ave, Mt Dora, FL 32757. On-line condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com.
