Angel L. Rivera Vega's Obituary
Angel L. Rivera Vega, 63, of Wildwood passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018. Mr. Rivera Vega was born January 11, 1955 in NY, NY to Angel L. Rivera, Sr and Carmen Laura Vega. He was raised in Puerto Rico and was a Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army. Angel played professional basketball in Puerto Rico. He received his Doctorate Degree in Mathematics from Bradley University in Champaign, IL where they named a wing after him in honor of the first Puerto Rican to make this accomplishment. He retired from Sheraton Hotels as the Food and Beverage Director and moved to this area in 2010 from Orlando. Angel is a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Dana; daughter, Geraldine Rivera-McCleary of Los Angeles, CA; sons, Brian William Rivera of Wildwood and William Joseph Rivera of Wildwood; mother, Carmen Laura Rivera Vega of Puerto Rico and 3 grandsons. Angel's family and friends will celebrate his life 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 31, 2018 in the AMF Leesburg Lanes.
