Paridon, Alice D.'s Obituary
Alice D. Paridon, 88, passed away on May 8, 2025 at U.F. Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, The Villages, Florida with her loving husband by her side. Alice was born on June 8, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents, Paul Earl Berresford and Doris Lillian (Brown) Berresford.
Alice and her husband Richard moved to The Villages, Florida in 2007 from Niles, Ohio where they raised their children. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, Florida. Alice was a retired Executive Secretary in the Steel Industry with over 35 years of service. She began her career with Republic Steel, LTV Steel, and finally retired from WCI Steel. Alice attended Niles McKinley High School in Niles, Ohio and Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. She loved digitizing family photos, calligraphy, gardening, mah-jongg, and playing cards. Alice was a member of Venture Investors Stock Club, Red Hat Society and a volunteer at Mother's Attic.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years: Richard Paridon; children: Robert(Bobbi Jo) Paridon , Sherri(Scott Speer) Speer, James(Jill) Paridon, William(Holly) Paridon, and David(Marla) Paridon: Grandchildren: Scot(Adrea) Paridon, Taylor Paridon(McKenzie), Kyle(Danielle) Paridon, Jacob(Ashley) Paridon, Jason(Marissa) Paridon, Madeline Speer, Alex Paridon and Brandon Paridon; Great grandchildren: Ryan, Riley, Reid, Remi, Layla, Brantly, Logan, Kennedy, Lainey and Briggs. Siblings James(Darlene) Berresford and Michael(Marilyn) Berresford.
Alice was a remarkable woman whose love and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she nurtured her family with unwavering care and affection. She always made everyone feel important and brightened every family gathering. Her life was a shining example of compassion, strength and grace. She lived each day with a generous heart, always putting others before herself. She was the optimist and the peacemaker, her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire us all. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, and a beloved son, John Richard Paridon.
A Funeral Mass of Resurrections will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10:30AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Wildwood, Florida with Inurnment to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
