Alice Mae Andrews' Obituary
Mrs. Alice Mae Andrews, age 85, of Adairsville, Georgia formerly of Wildwood, Florida passed away peacefully Friday, April 23, 2021 at Morning Pointe Assisted Living.
She was born in Wellborn, Florida, January 16, 1936, daughter of the late Eldon Lawson Box and Elsie Mae Durden Box. She was motherly to her siblings and her many nieces and nephews. She was known to her grandchildren as Mema. She loved to travel and ventured to Alaska, Hawaii, New York, Wyoming and around the US with her family; she particularly loved going to Wyoming to visit family living there and walking on the Florida beaches with her great grand-daughters. She enjoyed attending NorthPointe Church in Adairsville especially going to the Wednesday night Bible Study and covered dish supper. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank White Andrews, Sr.; daughter, Nita June and son, Kenneth.
Survivors include her son, Frank, Jr. (Donalee); grandchildren; Troy (Stacie) Andrews, Carrie (Darrin) Smith, Tina (James) Britton; great- granddaughters; Kira Elena and Kinley Alice Andrews, Abigail Elizabeth Britton, Alyssa Brianne and Kaylee Ava Ruth Smith; her brothers; James (Betty), Steve and Tommy Box; sisters; Norma Jean, Peggy and Vivian; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Alice’s Life will be held Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood Florida with her brother, Pastor James Box, officiating; interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Wildwood.
