Alfred A Penfield's Obituary
Alfred A. Penfield, 90, of Sebring, Fl passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Mr. Penfield was born February 23, 1923 in Springfield, Mass to the late Albert and Mary Louise (Jackson) Penfield. He retired to Sebring 35 years ago from Miami where he had worked as the Director of Public Works for the city of Miami Beach. After moving to Sebring, he worked as a Site Director for NU-Hope. He was a Christian and had served his country as a Merchant Marine during WWII. Survivors include his son, Alan Penfield and Barbara Smith of Vero Beach; 2 daughters, Alice Turpin of CA and Ann Ketterer of NY, brother, Roy Penfield of FL, sister, Marjorie Butterfoss of MA, along with 9 grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Marie, and daughter, Wanda. In Al’s honor, remember, “We’re all here, ‘cuz we’re not all there”.
