Albert E. Fletcher's Obituary
Albert E. Fletcher, Jr., 77, of The Villages, passed away Saturday, November 20, 2010. He was born in Westfield, Ma. and he moved to The Villages in 2006 from Greensboro, Ga. He was a Retired US Naval Aviator serving in the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Reserve Medal. Mr. Fletcher was an attorney for 35 years in Lighthouse Point, FL. His memberships included Member of Broward County Bar Association, President of North Broward County Bar Association, Associate Municipal Judge of Hillsboro Beach and City of Deerfield Beach, FL, President of Municipal Judge’s Association, City Commissioner of Lighthouse Point, FL, Mayor of Lighthouse Point, FL, President of Exchange Club of Pompano Beach, FL, and a member of Navy League. Mr. Fletcher was Elder and Trustee of 1st Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach. Survivors include his loving wife, Audrey; 2 sons, Brian of Deerfield Beach and Richard of Delray Beach; a brother, Raymond of Deland; a sister Joanne Fletcher of Westfield, Ma. and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas. A memorial service for Mr. Fletcher, will be held at Presbyterian Church in Pompano Beach, FL at a later date.
