Aida Maria Marcano Roman's Obituary
Aida Maria Marcano Roman, age 91 passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020. She was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico and moved to Sebring in 1980. She was a member of the Iglesia De Dios Church of Sebring. Aida was an exceptional cook and famous for her finger-licking pasteles. She became a seamstress at the age of seventeen, and by the time she was an adult, could sew anything from bridal dresses to upholstery. She also had an impressive green thumb, and wherever she lived, you could be sure that her yard was bursting with color. She is survived by her daughters, Betsaida Rosario, Edna Rosario-Girona; sisters, Petra Marcano, Amelia Collazo; grandchildren, Michelle Van Zantwyk, Lisa Van Zantwyk, Jessica Rosario Carmona, Trista Rosario Shattuck, Miguel Girona, Mari Girona, Gabriela Girona Wolfe and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ydelfonso Roman; sons, Abner and Agustin Rosario; brother, Lino Marcano; sisters, Adela and Digna Marcano; granddaughter, Marissa Rosario.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2-3 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.bankspagetheus.com for the family
