So sorry to hear of Mrs. Tanners passing. Went to school with Mary Ruth.Those were good times, more peaceful, slow, or so it seemed as a child. always look down the road they lived on in Coleman whenever I pass by and think of Mary Ruth..my deepest sympathies to the family. Laura(Carver) Warren
Mary Elinor and my mother Grace Pease Harjes were not only first cousins but were good friends. I remember as a teenager in the 1950's we would drive to Coleman from Lakeland where we lived to visit Aunt Cora and Uncle Clarence. My mom and Mary Elinor (as we always knew her) and Aunt Cora would visit and we (Barbara and I) would play outside or roam around Coleman. Those were some good memories. In 2001 my husband Dave and I moved to Wildwood to be closer to our daughter Denise, and I had the good luck to get back in touch with Mary Elinor. We didn't see each other that often but the one trip we took to Micanopy to the museum there, was so enjoyable. Because of health reasons we didn't see each other that much but I thought of her often . My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family.
