Coach was my boss, my mentor and my friend in the Michigan National Guard. He was like a father to me and we often joked that, if I ever got married, he would like to walk me down the aisle. My heart aches for Penny and those left to mend their broken hearts in the loss of our beloved Coach. You will be forever missed. I love you! Sgt Karry Lenon
I have great memories working with Coach in the 119th and 163rd MI National Guard units. He was the head cook in the mess hall, a dependable, loyal soldier. It was an honor knowing him. My prayers and sincere sympathy to his family. Rest in peace Coach.

So sorry for your loss. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace Marion.
penny and family I worked with marion back in the 1970s at michigan bell telephonel company. i talked with marion on the phone every day as part of our job. we would only see each other face to face a few times a year but over those years we shared a lot of common interests over the phone and at our company functions. marion left the phone company and we lost track of each other for about thirty years. we recently reconnected by phone thru a mutual friend and made plans to get together in april. sadly that will not be the case but we had two spirited phone conversations. he was a great guy, always cheerful and full of life. all that knew him when we worked together thought the world of him. my thoughts and prayers are with you. god bless you and may marion rest in peace. rick langolf davenport florida.
My best memories as a yard cop were when we all worked together on the yard with you as the Sgt. In an enviroment full of negativity, you always had a smile. I'm going to miss you "Marlin".
The community of Fowler is mourning the loss of a wonderful man and friend. We will miss you Marion!
To share childhood, adolescence and still be close in retirement must be rare. However, my cousin Marion was always special to me--he was the big brother I never had. I love the memories of fishing in his backyard lake in Clermont, playing touch football in his front yard, playing in my back yard in Orlando, eating Sunday dinners together, double-dating in high school, attending Hooten reunions, visiting me at the beach and my home. What warm memories I have. I so admired his dedication to family (including his grandchildren), his country (serving in Iraq and other places) and being such a good husband. How I will miss him. We have all lost someone very special. Love to Virginia, Penny, Jack, Terry, children and grandchildren. Your relative, Joan Brown Williams, Orlando
Prayers to your families...
