Glen A. Perkins, 80, of Wildwood, FL passed away peacefully on July 24 at home. Glen was born on February 13, 1941 to Calvin and Loella Perkins in Britt Iowa where he was raised. He then attended Colorado State University on a Wrestling Scholarship and graduated with a degree in History and Languages. He and his family then remained in the Fort Collins, CO area until 2015. Glen is survived in his passing by his loving wife of 59 years Margaret, brother Mike Perkins (Jan), his son Glen Perkins Jr (Christie), grandsons Jeremy Caldwell (Kattie), Dawson Wick, granddaughter Haley Wick and great grandchildren Brianna, Xander, Anabella, Abby and Tyus. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Dennis and Alan, daughter, Tammy Caldwell (Gary), and grandson, Nico Perkins (Brittany) Glen’s biggest passions in life were his family, woodworking, Native American history and telling umpires that they were doing their jobs wrong while watching baseball and softball. He was also active in the Masonic Lodge and a Strong Advocate and Transplant Preparedness Leader for the Alpha One Foundation after receiving his liver transplant in 2001.
