I was so saddened to hear that Michael has passed away. I did not see my cousin often but when I did it was wonderful. We enjoyed being FB friends and the love of dogs. I so sorry to learn of Michael’s passing. My mother was Michael’s first cousin. While we never met face to face Michale graciously shared his family details with me (we know very little about the Erhatds.)
More recently Michael announced his new pups and sent sweet condolences when I lost mine. I’m so glad to have known him and so very sorry for your loss.
Gary, I was so sorry to hear of Michael's passing. The love he so freely shared with all, his deep concern for others -- human and 4 legged -- was unsurpassed. Please know I am praying for Michael and for you.

We attended the Black and White Ball in San Francisco, enjoyed many dining experiences together, and the hospitality he and Gary offered will never be forgotten. This news made my heart skip a beat. Thank you for posting a wonderful, natural picture of Michael with his usual playful smile. We think of him often, he was an exceptional man, deeply missed. Many a seasons rolled passed Grace where Michael's exuberance for ceremony and detail brought a lightness and great beauty to our celebrations. Historical sermons, playful marriage ceremonies and always an ear for a good joke while he choose which of the many possible fashion options he would indulge for the day. Definitely wins the best dressed award, ready for any occasion with distinctive vestments, colorful Chasubles, and Stoles fitted and embroidered. Thank you for years of celebrating St. Francis of Assisi and making the animal world important. He would bless them all, pet rats, new kittens, birds, and of course all the dogs that would line up. You made guests feel included to make important and worthy their little beasts. I appreciate how he welcomed me into the fold and we had much laughter before his departure. My blessings to you dear Gary. May the many memories you've created together stay close to your mind and heart and will bring you peace and joy when needing his presence. Peace be with you. LisaMarie
To know Michael was to love him. We at Woof Gang adored he and Gary. I will share a story of the heart of the man. Michael came in one day with a baby squirrel in his pocket. He found it in his back yard and brought it in to nurse it along. He hid it from Gary, keeping under a warmer a night and in his pocket during the day, close to his heart. Sadly, the little squirrel didn’t survive but the measure of the man will live on forever. RIP Michael and give Mike big hugs from all of us. Until we meet again. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Gary, we were shocked, of course, and saddened to hear the news. We were hoping to see you and Michael again, if perchance you were planning to come visit us again here in St. Helena. I loved how Michael brought so much beautiful Anglican traditions to our church.
