Dearest Mom ! I love you more than words can even fathom ! Thank you for choosing me as your daughter ! I know Your in Heaven and someday I’ll see you again ! I want you to know how valued you are and you impacted many lives ! I love you mom !! 😘
Today, I am grateful for my sisters, especially Elaine. Today is the day we say our final goodbyes. Thank you, Elaine, for loving my firstborn son, taking care of him when I went to work. You loved newborn babies so much. You were one of the "big kids" and I was one of the "little kids" in our family of 10. I did not know you very well. Our lives were separated by distance, busyness, and things I never really understood. Our last time together was at the funeral of our dad. Despite the occasion, we still had time to catch up with each other. I got to hear about your kids and your life. I am so very grateful for those few days. And thank you, Bob, for taking care of my sister for almost 50 years! You will always be a part of our family. This is not goodbye, my sister. It is "til we meet again".
Elaine was so happy the day she married you, Bob. She looked beautiful. When Heidi was born the song “Mother and Child Reunion was a hit. She played it often. I was there the day the twins came home. She was in awe of them. We had no idea how hectic life would become. You were so happy with your babies and your energy amazed me. I was not present when Brian and Maggie were born but I can only imagine that you handled it like a pro.
Though our lives drifted apart, we were able to see each other at Dads funeral. It was good to see you again. I saw that glimmer in your eyes when you spoke about your grand babies.
I can only imagine the joy that Dad and Mom felt seeing you again. It’s a priceless thought.
I remember when I was very young I would call Elaine and tell her what I wanted for my next birthday, and without fail, she would show up with said gift that evening. Humm, wonder if she was wise to me :)
