To My Beloved Husband Art: On a warm September evening in Maine, you took me to Belfast for appetizers and cocktails, then dinner in Rockland, then dessert with coffee in Camden. On our way back to my home, a favorite song came on the radio. You pulled over so that we could dance in the headlights on the side of the road. I knew I was falling in love. But you had to leave for North Carolina. Two years later, on a warm September morning you returned to be with me. Two years later on a warm September afternoon, we married. Every September thereafter, we celebrated our birthdays and anniversaries. Then, on a warm September afternoon, I held a Celebration Of Life ceremony after you had to cross over. I await the time when it's my turn to join you. I'll see and take your outreached hand, and as you pull me over, we'll embrace and dance in the Light again. I only hope it will be a warm September afternoon. We lived and loved to our fullest. We were, and still are, the eternal newlyweds. You were, are, and always will be the Love Of My Life. Until then, rest well My Beloved. Your Loving Wife, Mimi
Mimi, mere words cannot express how I feel, the loss of my best friend of more than fifty years is very hard to come to grips with. I first met Art in 1964 when I reported aboard
the Perry we both had many great adventures together. He left the ship in 1966 and I left in 1968. Neither one of us being letter writers, we lost track of each other, one evening the doorbell rings, I open the door and Art says you want to buy some pots and pans (Miracle Maid). We both had a good laugh and had an even bigger laugh when I showed him a full set we had purchased two weeks before. After I retired and moved to FL. the friendship really blossomed. There were many cruises and many land cruises(as we liked to call them, and I won't forget the Navy Reunions. Mimi, I can't begin to know what your going thru but I do know this YOU ARE ONE OF THE STRONGEST WOMEN I KNOW. God had a purpose for calling Art, I don't know what that purpose was but I like to think he needed a good story teller with new material. Art, 'ol buddy I'm really going to miss those Gimlets. I take some solace in that I know you are free of all pain and worries. You my friend are free to travel anywhere in the universe and beyond. HAPPY TRAILS. LOVE YOU FOREVER
YOUR OLDEST BUDDY

Dear Art & Mimi,
Jeremy and I were so sad to hear of Art's passing. So sad.
We cherish great memories of meeting you both on our Panama Canal cruise in 2011! We shared "The Sanctuary" on the ship allowing us 'reserved' chaise lounges throughout the trip ~ how fun was that?
Art, I'll miss our silly & fun email chats that we shared for nearly eight years!! It was always a pleasure to hear from you. You had such a passion for life and a truly delightful spirit! I'll miss your smiley faces and red hearts!
Mimi, as you said, "We always hoped our paths would cross again on the blue waves". So let me say this: Aloha, Art !! ~ Until we meet again. XOXO
Mimi, We know your heart is broken.
You're in our prayers.
With Love,
Tammy & Jeremy
Mimi, Barney and I are so very sad to hear about Art's passing. I will miss hearing his voice when I would call the house.... Hellllloooo Kathleen …… I'd call just around 7 as I knew I would catch you both watching TV. The last time I spoke with him he talked about you taking another one of those "classes" (Reiki) and to call around 2pm because you like to talk to people at the end of class. He loved you so much and understood you even better. Love to you my friend. Kathleen and Barney
We only met Art twice, in Vegas in 2008 and in the Canaries Island in 2013. It wasn’t much but enough to appreciate his good company.
And mostly enough to see how much dear Mimi and him care about each other. They made a very nice couple and we always will regret not seeing them more often.
Thank you Art for having been my cousin’s husband for the last 20 years, till the end of your life and for giving her all your love. Rest in peace dear Art.
